What Auteur Studies is

Auteur Studies is a studio building tools for the craft of short-form video.

The premise is that the cinematic reality we already live in can be represented with minimal editing and work — and that most of the difference between a cut that holds and one that does not is something you can measure before you post, while the edit is still fixable.

What is being built

Auteur Atlas — plan the week's reels, stories and posts by dragging them into place; check a cut against five craft rules before it goes out; and read the reach afterwards without inventing a number. It runs in the browser. There is no account and no server: a week travels in a link you copy, and a clip you measure is read on your own device and never uploaded.

Where it actually stands

Plainly, because it matters more than a launch line: nothing has been measured yet. There are no users, no traction and no performance figures to report. Any numbers shown in a demonstration are synthetic and labelled as such wherever they appear.

The craft thresholds rest on small hand-authored samples, and each one carries its own sample size and its own caveats — including one rule that says it is the weakest and should be retired first.

• No accounts, no analytics, no server.

• Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to.

• Every figure carries the number of posts it rests on.

• A rule with no measurement stays silent rather than guessing.
